2. What We Provide
We offer paid retreat experiences and related digital services (such as booking, coordination, participant communication, and pre-work materials). The retreat takes place in China and may involve activities such as movement practices, meditation, workshops, local travel, and visits to partner locations.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to purchase or participate. By booking, you confirm you have legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
4. Booking, Payment, and Checkout
4.1 Payment processing: Payments are processed via third-party payment processors (e.g., Stripe). Your payment method and related transaction data may be handled by such providers according to their policies and ours.
4.2 Accurate information: You agree to provide accurate contact and participant information and to keep it updated.
4.3 Confirmation: A booking is confirmed only when payment is successfully completed and you receive our confirmation message/email.
4.4 Fees/taxes: You are responsible for any bank fees, FX conversion fees, or taxes that may apply in your jurisdiction unless explicitly stated otherwise.
5. Retreat Deliverables, Itinerary, and Changes
5.1 Itinerary changes: The retreat schedule, locations, teachers, facilitators, and activities may change due to operational needs, safety, weather, local regulations, venue availability, or force majeure (see Section 13). We may provide substitutes of comparable value.
5.2 Third parties: Transportation, lodging, food, venues, and certain experiences may be provided by independent third parties. We are not responsible for their acts/omissions, and your relationship with them may be governed by their rules.
5.3 Pre-work and materials: Pre-work or guidebooks may be provided closer to the retreat date and may be updated at any time.
6. Travel, Visa, and Entry Requirements (Your Responsibility)
You are solely responsible for passports, visas, vaccinations/health documents, insurance, and compliance with all entry/exit requirements for China and any transit countries. We do not guarantee entry, visa approval, or border admission. Any inability to travel or enter (including denial by authorities) is treated as a cancellation by you and handled under the Refund Policy.
7. Health, Medical Disclaimer, and Participant Responsibility
7.1 Not medical care: The retreat and any content on this website are for educational and experiential purposes and are not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
7.2 Fitness to participate: You confirm you are physically and mentally able to participate and will act responsibly. You are responsible for informing us of relevant medical conditions, allergies, or limitations.
7.3 Emergency care: If you require medical assistance, you are responsible for all costs. You authorize us to seek emergency assistance on your behalf if reasonably necessary, but you remain financially responsible.
8. Assumption of Risk; Waiver and Release
8.1 Assumption of risk: Participation involves inherent risks (including but not limited to travel risks, illness, injury, allergic reactions, food-related risks, transportation incidents, slips/falls, and risks associated with physical/meditative practices). You voluntarily assume all such risks, whether known or unknown.
8.2 Release: To the maximum extent permitted by law, you release and hold harmless Solvea Biosciences Laboratory LLC and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, facilitators, and agents from claims, demands, causes of action, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising out of or related to your participation, travel, or use of this website, except to the extent caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct where liability cannot legally be excluded.
8.3 Indemnity: You agree to indemnify and defend us against claims arising from your conduct, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party rights.
9. Code of Conduct; Removal
We expect respectful conduct. We may remove any participant (without refund) for behavior that is unsafe, disruptive, unlawful, or materially interferes with the retreat or others’ experience.
10. Photography / Media
Unless you opt out in writing before the retreat begins, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide right to use photos/video/audio captured during the retreat that may include you for documentation and marketing. You can opt out by emailing us.
11. Intellectual Property
All website content and retreat materials (text, design, media, curriculum) are owned by us or our licensors and may not be copied, redistributed, or used commercially without written permission.
12. Disputes, Chargebacks, and Payment Disputes
Before initiating a chargeback, you agree to contact us to attempt resolution. Excessive chargebacks harm our ability to provide services and may result in restrictions, cancellation of participation, or refusal of future bookings where permitted by law.
13. Force Majeure (Events Outside Our Control)
We are not liable for delays, changes, suspension, or inability to perform caused by events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, pandemic/epidemic, government actions, war, civil unrest, strikes, transport shutdowns, power/network failures, venue closures, or sudden regulatory changes. If force majeure materially impacts the retreat, we may (at our discretion) reschedule, offer credit, adjust the program, substitute services, or provide partial refunds consistent with unrecoverable costs and our Refund Policy.
14. Disclaimer of Warranties
The website and services are provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not warrant uninterrupted operation, error-free content, or that the retreat will produce specific outcomes.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the website or retreat shall not exceed the amount you paid to us for the relevant booking. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or loss of profits, even if advised of the possibility.
16. Governing Law; Venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Exclusive venue for disputes shall be state or federal courts located in Sheridan County, Wyoming, unless mandatory consumer law requires otherwise.
17. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date indicates the latest revision. Continued use of the website or participation after changes means acceptance.
18. Severability
If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force.
